Pad seems well made, but I ran into 2 issues.
1) I bought an XL based on measurements of my leg and the size chart, but they are loose enough to shift while riding and need to be pulled up often.
2) the material between your knee and the pad insert is a rougher feel than past G-Form pads I have had (X2 for example), and likes to cause abrasions around my knee cap. Not ideal for sweaty rides!
Kneepads are comfortable for all day pedaling but that’s about where the positives end. Had two pairs and both tore at the seams between the upper elastic band and the spandex material within a couple weeks of use. Gform warrantied the first pair but unfortunately the second pair I received had the same exact issue in the same spot.
As per sizing, I was right between a small and a medium (for both knee and elbow guards). Went with small, which was perhaps a mistake, given the difficulty I have in getting them on (especially the first few times). Also, one of my knee guard got a small rip in the band on just my 3rd time putting it on.
Have not had any falls since getting these, so cannot comment on their protectiveness. They are not bulky, which means they don't get in the way, but I am a bit concerned about how well they will protect around the knee in case of impact from the side.
Overall, I wish they were designed to be easier to put on and take off.
Bought the correct size based on the sizing chart, but they popped and tore a little upon trying on. Ended up buying the next size up Rugged Pro 2. (These were on super sale so unreturnable).
Flexible and comfortable alrhough hot in high temperatures
