Lourdes is an emerging shortstop/2nd basement star for the Toronto Blue Jays. Leaving Cuba in 2016 to pursue the goal of becoming a MLB player, Lourdes comes from a deeply rooted baseball family. Lourdes' brother, Yuli Gurriel, plays for the Houston Astros. In 2018 Lourdes had 249 MLB plate appearances in his first full season.
