This month, G-Form’s Thom Cafaro, gave a presentation at the 2011 Riders4Helmets Helmet Safety Symposium. Thom demonstrated G-Form’s RPT – Reactive Protection Technology using PORON® XRD™ material to show the protective capabilities of our products. Watch Thom’s candid interview.

When you visit the riders4helmets web site their goal is clearly stated: to get more equestrians wearing helmets…period. Riders4Helmets was founded in early 2010 after Olympic dressage rider Courtney King Dye was seriously injured in a riding accident. King Dye, who remained in a coma for a month following her accident, was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and is currently undergoing rehabilitation. Jeri Bryant  donated her helmet campaign t-shirts (featuring the slogan “Strap One On–Everyone’s Doing it”) to an eBay store set up to raise funds for King Dye, and a partnership was formed, resulting in the Riders4Helmets campaign.

Crash Test of G-Form Elbow Pads

Wonder if G-Form pads really protect? Well, you don’t need to take our word for it, take Moe’s (AKA The Bike Geek).
Moe recently gave a product review of the G-Form elbow pads on his site TheBikeGeek.net and had great things to say about them yet wasn’t quite ready to put them to the test.

“I’ll be honest, as much as I would like to ‘take one for the team’, I haven’t crash tested the pads. I know that I eventually will eat it so I’ll report on how they fared once that happens.”

Unfortunately for Moe he did crash and fortunately for us he had great things to say about the effectiveness of our pads.

“All I can say is that G-form elbow pads worked like a charm, there was no injury nor scrapes on my elbows and I was really surprised to see that the elbow pads held up very well. (My second crash was rather nasty).”

Read what else Moe had to say here.
